Board of Medical Examiners has adopted rules for the Cultural Competency CME training requirement

Physicians who have not had Cultural Competency education must complete a one time Cultural Competency Training Course of at least 6 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits prior to June 30, 2009. The 6 credits are in addition to the 100 credits that are required during a renewal cycle (40 Category 1 and remaining 60 in either Category 1 or 2 Credit).

Prescription Pad Requirements change May 28, 2008

Starting May 28, 2008 all prescription pads must have the Physician NPI# printed on it or added by hand to be accepted by a pharmacy. Effective October 1, 2008 the NPI Number must be printed on the form and the prescription pad must have a serial # as well. For additional information check with your RX pad distributor.
